  • This half day, guided bus tour will take us an hour outside Knoxville, to Emlyn, KY to visit a Net Zero Energy housing development along with other stops highlighting housing and the history of the area. Box lunch and dinner are included.

  • This half day, guided bus tour of housing and history in northeast TN includes a stop at River Place on the Clinch a sustainable ecotourism initiative in Kyles Ford, TN which Fahe, Member Clinch-Powell, purchased it in 2005 with a vision of bringing a once thriving community back to life. Box lunch and dinner are included.

  • This half day, guided bus tour will be four stops that will highlight unique housing, history and civil rights including a stop at The Museum of Appalachia, a Smithsonian-affiliated museum located in Clinton, TN. Box lunch and dinner are included.

6 p.m.
All tours will end at a restaurant for an informal reception followed by dinner. Location TBD.

    Our closing session will focus on effective strategies to serve low-wealth and persistent poverty communities.

  • This will be a boxed lunch to go. Menu choices to be provided at a later date; for now, please let us know if you'd like a boxed lunch.
